Bitcoin investment is part of PSG\u2019s innovative vision.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Additionally, the club\u2019s CEO emphasized that this step will strengthen <strong>PSG\u2019s global financial<\/strong> power. Par Helgosson, head of PSG\u2019s<strong> Web3 and Metaverse<\/strong> department, stated that the club converted a portion of its cash reserves into <strong>Bitcoin<\/strong> in 2024 and still holds this position. Helgosson highlighted that PSG has made history as the first club in the sports world to adopt digital assets.<strong> PSG Labs<\/strong> is working on innovative areas such as <strong>NFT<\/strong> projects, <strong>fan tokens<\/strong>, <strong>metaverse<\/strong> experiences, and<strong> DAOs<\/strong>, creating new revenue models while enhancing fan engagement.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Paris Saint-Germain Labs head Par Helgosson:<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cLast year, we added Bitcoin to our balance sheet. We allocated a portion of our fiat reserves to Bitcoin. And we still maintain that position. As one of the world\u2019s biggest clubs, we are the largest player in the sports ecosystem to make this move.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Moreover, through <strong>PSG Labs<\/strong>, the club aims to support <strong>Web3<\/strong> projects such as <strong>tokenization, DAOs, NFTs, stablecoins<\/strong>, and custody solutions. It also plans to take an active role in areas like blockchain games. This strategy targets PSG\u2019s young, digitally-focused global fanbase.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In February 2024, PSG became the first professional sports team to run a validator on the <strong>Chiliz blockchain<\/strong>. The club committed to using all validator rewards to buy back PSG fan tokens.
