Macroeconomist Lyn Alden noted on Wednesday, \u201cThe dollar index is currently hovering at new cyclical lows.\u201d Alden added, \u201cThere has been almost no safe haven bid in the past few weeks.\u201d These comments have increased speculation that the dollar\u2019s weakness might be structural rather than temporary.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jamie Coutts: Cryptocurrencies are the New Emerging Markets<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Real Vision crypto analyst Jamie Coutts compared the current macro environment to the 2002-2008<\/strong> period. Coutts said, \u201cThat period saw a major dollar devaluation, igniting a fire under emerging market equities and commodities.\u201d He added, \u201cEMs outperformed developed markets by 3x due to capital flows toward high-growth, youthful economies.\u201d According to Coutts, a similar trend is now occurring in the crypto markets.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
