Appearing alongside <strong data-start=\"854\" data-end=\"898\">Chainlink Labs co-founder Sergey Nazarov<\/strong>, she emphasized that such efforts could accelerate the institutional adoption of public blockchains.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1001\" data-end=\"1257\">\n<p data-start=\"1003\" data-end=\"1257\">\u201cOur goal has always been to work with public blockchains, as long as regulations allow it,\u201d Zaltsman stated. JPMorgan\u2019s approach, she added, is \u201c<strong data-start=\"1149\" data-end=\"1167\">asset-agnostic<\/strong>,\u201d aiming to offer clients seamless access to multiple networks while minimizing friction.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 data-start=\"1259\" data-end=\"1324\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"JPMorgan_Pilots_Blockchain_Settlement_with_Chainlink_and_Base\"><\/span>JPMorgan Pilots Blockchain Settlement with Chainlink and Base<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1326\" data-end=\"1636\">In a recent pilot project, JPMorgan tested <strong data-start=\"1369\" data-end=\"1396\">synchronized settlement<\/strong> technology using Chainlink. This innovation allows blockchain-based bank deposits to process transactions across multiple chains. Nazarov called it an early glimpse of how <strong data-start=\"1569\" data-end=\"1592\">traditional capital<\/strong> could connect to <strong data-start=\"1610\" data-end=\"1635\">digital asset markets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1638\" data-end=\"1961\">JPMorgan also began piloting a new <strong data-start=\"1673\" data-end=\"1690\">deposit token<\/strong> (JPMD) on <strong data-start=\"1701\" data-end=\"1728\">Coinbase\u2019s Base network<\/strong>. Unlike stablecoins, these deposit tokens remain within JPMorgan\u2019s banking infrastructure while giving users direct access to blockchain-based markets \u2014 effectively <strong data-start=\"1894\" data-end=\"1960\">bridging onchain liquidity with institutional treasury systems<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1963\" data-end=\"2014\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Infrastructure_Is_Ready_and_So_Is_the_Industry\"><\/span>Infrastructure Is Ready, and So Is the Industry<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2016\" data-end=\"2299\">Zaltsman believes the pace of convergence is accelerating, thanks to better infrastructure and growing industry cooperation. \u201cA decade ago, we had to build our own private blockchain because there weren\u2019t viable options. Today, the tools and support are finally here,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2301\" data-end=\"2362\">She hopes the convergence happens sooner rather than later:<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2363\" data-end=\"2475\">\n<p data-start=\"2365\" data-end=\"2475\">\u201cWe need to see technology for what it is \u2014 a tool to serve users \u2014 and stop enforcing artificial boundaries.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3 data-start=\"2477\" data-end=\"2528\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"JPMorgan_Sets_the_Tone_for_the_Financial_Sector\"><\/span>JPMorgan Sets the Tone for the Financial Sector<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2530\" data-end=\"2623\">Nazarov emphasized that JPMorgan\u2019s involvement will likely influence other banks to follow.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"2624\" data-end=\"2730\">\n<p data-start=\"2626\" data-end=\"2730\">\u201cWhen a major player like JPMorgan moves, it makes others in the banking sector pay attention,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"2732\" data-end=\"3043\">He also noted that technologies like <strong data-start=\"2769\" data-end=\"2793\">cryptographic proofs<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"2798\" data-end=\"2817\">smart contracts<\/strong> are enabling smaller financial institutions to operate with the same level of trust and transparency as major banks.
