    In August 2025, Metaplanet made a significant move by purchasing 518 Bitcoin<\/strong> for approximately 9.1 billion yen. This latest step brought its total holdings to 18,113 BTC. According to official statements, the company is now among the leading institutional Bitcoin treasury holders worldwide. The total purchase cost amounted to 270.364 billion yen ($1.85 billion), with an average price of about 14.9 million yen ($100,000) per Bitcoin.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
