One of the main ways companies make such large acquisitions without affecting the price is through private <strong data-start=\"1056\" data-end=\"1069\">OTC desks<\/strong> instead of public exchanges.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1102\" data-end=\"1142\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Market_Reactions_to_Large_Purchases\"><\/span>Market Reactions to Large Purchases<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1144\" data-end=\"1441\">Data shows that Bitcoin\u2019s price doesn\u2019t always move in the same direction after Strategy\u2019s acquisitions. For instance, between November 18\u201324, the company purchased 55,000 BTC at an average of $97,862 each. Shortly after, in December, Bitcoin rallied above $106,000 to reach a new all-time high.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1443\" data-end=\"1685\">In contrast, after buying 21,021 BTC on July 29, the price dropped nearly 4% within four days, falling to $113,320 by August 2.
