The authority does not permit unlicensed crypto activities and requires applicants to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"815\" data-end=\"855\">Meet minimum capital requirements,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"858\" data-end=\"900\">Demonstrate robust security systems,<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"903\" data-end=\"938\">Maintain compliance programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"940\" data-end=\"1071\">Additionally, services offered by these firms must comply with Sharia law, guided by a committee of Islamic finance scholars.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1073\" data-end=\"1164\">PVARA Chairman and State Minister for Crypto and Blockchain, Bilal bin Saqib, stated:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1166\" data-end=\"1322\"><em data-start=\"1166\" data-end=\"1320\">&#8220;With this expression of interest, we invite the world\u2019s leading VASPs to help build a transparent and inclusive digital financial future for Pakistan.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 data-start=\"1324\" data-end=\"1358\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Application_Requirements\"><\/span>Application Requirements<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1360\" data-end=\"1579\">Applying companies must provide detailed information on their existing licenses, operations, technology, security protocols, and compliance history. They must also outline their plans for serving the Pakistani market.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"1581\" data-end=\"1628\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pakistans_Growing_Interest_in_Crypto\"><\/span>Pakistan\u2019s Growing Interest in Crypto<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1630\" data-end=\"1962\">According to the ministry, Pakistan has over 40 million crypto users, with an estimated annual transaction volume exceeding $300 billion.
