Maintaining this ratio, he stated that if Bitcoin were to reach $200,000, Ethereum would reasonably rise to around $16,000.<\/p>\n<p>However, he also presented a more extreme scenario:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>If Ethereum\u2019s network value eventually matches that of Bitcoin, ETH could reach <strong>$250,000<\/strong>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>To strengthen his comparison, Lee referenced OpenAI:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIf OpenAI went public, it would likely receive a $1 trillion valuation. That\u2019s about three times Ethereum\u2019s current value. If Ethereum becomes the dominant blockchain infrastructure, why couldn\u2019t it reach several trillion dollars?\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>According to Lee, with ETH still priced near $3,000, the long-term opportunity remains highly attractive.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-59238 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/coinengineer.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/tom-300x167.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"769\" height=\"428\" srcset=\"https:\/\/coinengineer.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/tom-300x167.jpg 300w, https:\/\/coinengineer.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/tom-1024x568.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/coinengineer.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/tom-768x426.jpg 768w, https:\/\/coinengineer.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/tom.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 769px) 100vw, 769px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%80%9CThe_October_Crash_Was_a_System_Glitch%E2%80%9D\"><\/span>\u201cThe October Crash Was a System Glitch\u201d<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Lee commented on the sharp drop that occurred on October 10, describing it as a \u201cglitch.\u201d<br \/>\nHe explained that the drop resulted from an incorrect pricing event involving a stablecoin on a <em>single<\/em> exchange, which triggered an ADL (auto-deleveraging) cascade.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIf the price feed had been composite, no liquidations would have occurred. This was simply a deviation \u2014 something that would normally be ignored. But a single exchange triggered a global liquidation cycle.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Despite this, Lee highlighted Bitcoin\u2019s ability to hold in the <strong>$86,000\u2013$92,000 range<\/strong> and Ethereum\u2019s stability near <strong>$3,100<\/strong> as signs of a strong base.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Bitmine_Is_Accumulating_ETH_%E2%80%9CWere_Putting_Our_Money_Where_Our_Mouth_Is%E2%80%9D\"><\/span>Bitmine Is Accumulating ETH: \u201cWe\u2019re Putting Our Money Where Our Mouth Is\u201d<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Lee revealed that Bitmine believes Ethereum has already formed a long-term bottom and is therefore accumulating aggressively:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe\u2019ve doubled the amount of ETH we\u2019re buying compared to two weeks ago.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>With Bitmine holding around <strong>3.7 million ETH<\/strong>, more than all other DATs combined, Lee emphasized that Ethereum is viewed not just as an investment but as a strategic, long-term asset. He added that with staking yields available, there is no rational reason to sell ETH, reinforcing its role as a core treasury asset for the company.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%80%9CIf_Bitcoin_Closes_Above_126000_by_January_31_the_Cycle_Is_Over%E2%80%9D\"><\/span>\u201cIf Bitcoin Closes Above $126,000 by January 31, the Cycle Is Over\u201d<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Lee also touched on the debate around Bitcoin\u2019s four-year cycle. He argued that traditional cycle theory is becoming obsolete due to increased market maturity and rising institutional demand.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIf Bitcoin closes above $126,000 by January 31, the classic four-year cycle narrative will essentially be dead.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>While many analysts expect 2026 to be a weak year, Lee said he believes the opposite \u2014 maintaining a strongly optimistic view.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%80%9CNext_Year_Will_Be_Incredible_for_Crypto%E2%80%9D\"><\/span>\u201cNext Year Will Be Incredible for Crypto\u201d<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>According to Lee, the period after 2025 will usher in a transformational era for crypto \u2014 not only through Bitcoin\u2019s growth as \u201cdigital gold\u201d but through a massive tokenization wave reshaping global finance.<\/p>\n<p>He described this transition as the key turning point for blockchain:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cMoving real-world assets and financial instruments onto the blockchain will trigger a new wave of ownership, construction, and product development.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Lee emphasized that tokenization could fundamentally transform traditional finance while accelerating institutional adoption, making it one of the most powerful long-term drivers for the crypto market.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Evaluation\"><\/span>Evaluation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Tom Lee\u2019s statements reinforce that the long-term growth narrative for crypto remains strong.
