As soon as the US and Israel launched airstrikes on Tehran<\/strong>, crypto withdrawals from Nobitex surged by more than 700%<\/strong> within minutes. According to tracking data from Elliptic, much of the funds were moved abroad, suggesting that investors rapidly shifted capital out of Iran amid rising uncertainty. Within an hour of the first strikes, withdrawals had reached nearly $3 million, signaling a potential attempt to bypass the scrutiny of the global banking system.<\/p>\n

Nobitex controls roughly 87% of Iran\u2019s crypto trading volume and processed about $7.2 billion in transactions for 11 million users in 2025. Elliptic stated that the sudden spike in withdrawals could represent \u201cpotential capital flight from Iran<\/a>.\u201d Initial tracing also showed that some of the funds were transferred to foreign crypto exchanges, allowing users to move money outside the country without relying on traditional banking channels.<\/p>\n

However, TRM Labs later reported that crypto<\/strong> withdrawals from Nobitex quickly declined. The drop was largely attributed to strict internet shutdowns imposed by Iranian authorities during the conflict. Internet connectivity across the country reportedly fell by around 99%. TRM added that Iran\u2019s crypto ecosystem is not showing signs of acceleration or capital flight but rather a decline in transaction activity and volume due to the enforced blackouts. The conflicting interpretations highlight how government intervention and investor behavior can shape market signals during geopolitical crises.<\/p>\n

The military escalation itself has further intensified regional instability. The United States and Israel have openly targeted Iran\u2019s regime and its nuclear and missile programs. Iran responded with airstrikes on neighboring countries, deepening uncertainty across the region. This environment has begun influencing both international investors and domestic crypto users.<\/p>\n
