A U.S. district judge has accepted the criminal complaint regarding money laundering prevention violations against former Binance CEO CZ.<\/p>\n

Changpeng Zhao<\/a>,<\/strong> known as CZ, admitted guilt last month to anti-money laundering and sanction violations after years of investigations by federal regulators. In conjunction, Binance agreed to a $4.3 billion settlement, one of the largest corporate deals in history. Additionally, Zhao accepted a $50 million fine and resigned from the CEO position.<\/p>\n

Last week, CZ resigned as the Chairman of the board of Binance.US<\/a><\/strong>, effectively eliminating his influence on Binance.US’s management and reducing the exchange’s interest in the U.S. to a purely economic one.<\/p>\n

Since stepping down as Binance CEO and admitting guilt, CZ has remained active on the social media platform X. Last week, he had a lunch meeting with the new Binance CEO, Richard Teng, discussing topics like taking risks and the overall situation of the company.<\/p>\n
