Elon Musk’s AI venture xAI has signed a $300 million deal to integrate its chatbot Grok into Telegram. According to Telegram CEO Pavel Durov, this partnership will enable a broad rollout of Grok across the platform.
Strategic Partnership Between xAI and Telegram
The agreement will last one year, with Telegram receiving $300 million in cash and equity. Additionally, Telegram will earn 50% of the revenue from xAI subscriptions sold via the app. Grok will be accessible through the Telegram search bar and will offer features such as:
- Smart text editing
- Chat and document summarization
- Group chat moderation
Telegram users will gain access to one of the most advanced AI technologies on the market starting this summer.

The announcement was followed by several major Telegram-related developments. BlackRock reportedly participated in Telegram’s bond sale, and a former Visa crypto executive joined the TON Foundation in a top role. Telegram had already made TON its exclusive cryptocurrency for in-app payments as of January.
Following these updates, TON surged by 20%, reaching $3.60 within hours.
