What is Resolv (RESOLV) Coin?

The world of decentralized finance (DeFi) revolves around stablecoins. However, current solutions—from centralized giants like USDT and USDC to overcollateralized protocols like DAI—struggle with chronic issues such as centralization, capital inefficiency, and reliance on fiat currencies.

This is where Resolv steps in with a new approach. As the world’s first delta-neutral stablecoin protocol backed entirely by on-chain assets like Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin (BTC), Resolv aims to usher in a new era in DeFi.

At its core, Resolv is a holistic DeFi ecosystem consisting of two main components: the Resolv Protocol and the RESOLV Token. Understanding the difference between these two is crucial to grasping the project’s innovation.

Resolv Protocol

This is the backbone of the entire ecosystem. Its primary function is to generate and maintain the USR stablecoin, which is pegged to the US dollar using a delta-neutral strategy. The protocol includes complex mechanisms such as collateral management, perpetual hedging, and the RLP insurance pool.

RESOLV Token

This is the native governance and utility token of the protocol. It grants holders decision-making power in the protocol’s future, offers staking rewards, and allows users to share in the growth of the ecosystem.

What Key Problems Does Resolv Aim to Solve?

The project was designed to address four major weaknesses in existing stablecoin models:

Centralization and Fiat Dependence

USDC and USDT rely on fiat reserves held by centralized companies, which introduces censorship and regulatory risk. Resolv eliminates this dependency entirely by using only on-chain assets like ETH and BTC.

Capital Inefficiency

Crypto-backed stablecoins like DAI require overcollateralization (typically $1.50–$2.00 in collateral for every $1 minted) to counter volatility. This locks up capital inefficiently. Resolv, on the other hand, offers 1:1 capital efficiency using delta-neutral hedging—$1 of collateral can mint 1 USR.

Lack of Native Yield

Most stablecoins do not generate native yield for holders. Resolv introduces sustainable native yield through ETH staking rewards and funding rates from perpetual futures markets, and shares this yield with users.

Short-Term Speculation in Governance

In many DeFi projects, governance tokens end up in the hands of short-term speculators. Resolv counters this with a time-weighted staking model (stRESOLV), rewarding long-term holders with more voting power and incentives.

RESOLV Tokenomics and Distribution

The project’s economic model is designed for long-term sustainability and value stability. The total supply of RESOLV tokens is fixed at 1 billion.

The largest share, 40.9%, is allocated to the Ecosystem and Community. These funds will be used to support protocol development, fund community-driven initiatives, and grow the ecosystem through incentive programs.

A share of 26.7% is allocated to the Team and Contributors, with a 12-month full lockup, followed by linear vesting over 30 months to ensure long-term commitment. Similarly, 22.4% of the supply is reserved for Investors, with a 12-month lockup period followed by 24-month vesting. These mechanisms are designed to prevent early-stage sell pressure.

Finally, 10% of the total supply is allocated for a Season 1 Airdrop to reward early supporters and active users of the protocol.

Project Investors

Resolv is backed by prominent investors from the crypto space. Its investor list includes:

Arrington XRP Capital, Coinbase Ventures, gumi Cryptos Capital, Animoca Brands, Robot Ventures, Maven 11 Capital, No Limit Holdings, and SCB Limited.

These investors participated in the project’s seed round, signaling strong confidence in its long-term potential.

Resolv Founding Team

Resolv is built by a team with deep expertise in blockchain and financial technologies. The project has three co-founders:

  • Fedor Chmilevfa – Co-Founder

  • Tim Shekikhachev – Co-Founder

  • Ivan Kozlov – Co-Founder

These individuals are known for their leadership in key DeFi initiatives and bring both technical and strategic insight to the project.
