Official Approval from the SEC to Plume Network!

The modular Layer-2 blockchain Plume Network, which focuses on real-world assets (RWA), has officially been approved by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to operate as a registered transfer agent. This milestone provides a crucial regulatory framework for the issuance, transfer, and management of tokenized securities.

According to CoinMarketCap data, the network’s native token PLUME surged 25% in value following the SEC approval, while its daily trading volume increased by 186%. This strong performance reflects growing investor interest and rising market confidence in the project.

What Advantages Does Plume Offer to Investors?

As an SEC-registered transfer agent, Plume will be able to manage digital securities and shareholder records directly on-chain. It also supports interoperability with the U.S. Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) settlement network, providing a secure solution for on-chain securities transfers.

Plume’s Technological Innovations

Traditional transfer agents are responsible for maintaining official shareholder records, managing ownership changes, and processing dividend and interest payments. A blockchain-based transfer agent like Plume, however, performs these same functions using distributed ledger technology (DLT) — offering secure, transparent, and immutable digital records of asset ownership and transfers.

Plume’s technology enables a range of use cases such as on-chain public offerings, small-scale fundraising, and registered funds. Thanks to smart contract automation, the platform aims to reduce tokenization timelines from months to weeks, significantly increasing efficiency.

Plume’s Future Plans

Plume plans to launch its first products in Q1 2026, including Nest protocol vaults. Nest will introduce staking mechanisms for real-world asset (RWA) protocols, allowing fund managers to create vaults backed by regulated financial instruments. Users will be able to deposit stablecoins into these vaults to earn yields from underlying RWAs.

These steps are expected to establish Plume as a pioneer in on-chain securities, providing investors with a secure and regulated infrastructure for digital asset management.
