What is Cysic (CYS) ?

cysic cys

Cysic is a ComputeFi protocol that develops a hardware-accelerated infrastructure to scale ZK technologies, AI computation, and high-performance verification processes. The project aims to reduce the cost of generating zero-knowledge proofs, create a secure compute marketplace between provers and verifiers, and provide developers with enterprise-grade computation resources. Cysic’s approach moves all off-chain workloads, from modular rollups to AI models, into a blockchain-secured compute marketplace designed for easy scalability.

Team and Founders

The Cysic team consists of experts in hardware engineering, ZK system architecture, high-performance parallel computing, and distributed systems.

  • Co-Founder: Xiong Fan (Leo Fan), PhD from Cornell University, led ZK hardware acceleration and built FPGA prototypes that positioned Cysic as an industry leader.

  • Co-Founder: Bowen Huang, Yale graduate, led the evolution of ZK hardware from GPU and FPGA systems to ASIC-level chips and has six years of experience in CAS.

  • Rae Wang: Head of Operations.

  • Shervin Beyk: Head of Business Development.

Investors and Key Partnerships

Cysic is backed by top Web3 infrastructure investors and collaborates with hardware, ZK, and AI companies to accelerate production and commercialization.

  • zkEVM and L2: zkSync, Scroll, Manta

  • zkVM and Prover Networks: Succinct, Risc0, Nexus

  • AI Ecosystem: Talus, Modulus Labs, Gensyn, Inference Labs

  • Additional Partners: Chainlink, Blocksense, zkPass

Leading investors include:

  • Polychain Capital

  • HashKey Capital

  • OKX Ventures

  • ABCDE

  • Matrix Partners China

  • Web3.com Ventures

Project Vision

The core idea behind Cysic is to reduce the high cost of ZK proof generation and provide a hardware-accelerated marketplace for any project requiring large-scale computation. This approach supports ZK rollups, AI models, verifiable computing systems, and trust-based Web3 applications. Each node has a clearly defined role and revenue model, secured and validated through on-chain mechanisms.

How the Project Works

The Cysic ecosystem is built around three primary actor groups: compute providers, verifiers, and applications requesting computation.

  • Providers deliver computation using high-performance GPU, FPGA, or ASIC devices.

  • Verifiers validate the correctness of generated proofs and computation outputs.

  • Users or integrated projects issue compute requests and set market-driven pricing.

The network uses a dual-token model with the native token CYS and the governance token CGT. The entire system operates on Cosmos CDK and CometBFT infrastructure, enabling Proof-of-Compute functionality that ensures security, efficiency, and transparent validation.

Governance

Cysic’s governance model is built on its dual-token architecture.

  • CGT (Compute Governance Token) is a non-transferable credit token responsible for governance decisions.

  • CYS staking allows users to earn CGT. The staking amount and duration determine the governance weight.

  • CGT holders vote on Compute Pool management and other critical network decisions.

Roadmap

The roadmap focuses on hardware development, infrastructure deployment, and ecosystem expansion.

  • Release of hardware accelerators

  • Standardization of prover and verifier node software

  • Launch of the Cosmos CDK-based mainnet

  • Multi-layer marketplace for ZK, AI, and HPC workloads

  • Expansion of incentive programs

Token Utility

The CYS token powers the economic layer of the Cysic ecosystem.

  • Payment method for compute services

  • Participation in governance

  • Incentives for provers and verifiers

  • Resource reservation in the compute marketplace

  • Collateral and security functions

The secondary token CGT plays a role in compute consumption and usage-based pricing.

Token Information

CYS is the core token used for incentives and governance mechanics, while CGT functions as a usage-based credit token. Together, they create a balanced economic model that supports scalability and network resilience.

Token Distribution

The allocation design ensures sustainable growth and balanced network incentives.

  • Node operator incentives

  • Community and ecosystem funds

  • Early investor allocations

  • Team and advisor reserves

  • Market and operational funds

Ecosystem

The Cysic ecosystem supports a wide range of high-demand use cases.

  • ZK rollups and zkEVM projects

  • AI model verification

  • Hardware-driven HPC providers

  • Blockchain-based data computation

  • Hybrid mining solutions for PoW networks

Key Features

Several features distinguish Cysic from other infrastructure providers.

  • Hardware-accelerated ZK prover architecture

  • High-security on-chain design powered by Cosmos CDK

  • Unified compute marketplace for ZK, AI, and HPC workloads

  • Proof-of-Compute-based incentive system

  • Flexible hardware support for ASIC, GPU, and portable miners

  • Dynamic pricing based on supply and demand
