Anemoy Liquid Treasury Fund Gains Chronicle’s Support

Anemoy Liquid Treasury Fund

The distributed finance capital management tool Centrifuge is working with Oracle supplier Chronicle to improve openness for the just introduced Anemoy Liquid Treasury Fund. To offer greater understanding of the portfolio and fund flows of the onchain fund, the real-time data network Chronicle will give price updates and third-party validation.

Built on the Ethereum- and Polkadot-compatible Centrifuge public blockchain, it recently tapped Janus Henderson, an asset manager with over $360 billion in assets under management, to run the compliance-oriented startup’s tokenized U.S. Treasury fund, co-founded Anil Sood and Martin Quensel told.

Our partnership with Centrifuge and Anemoy shows how decentralized oracles can bring a new level of trust and transparency to real-world assets,” Nik Kunkel, founder of Chronicle, said in a statement, adding the Ethereum-based oracle provides an “unopinionated, verifiable view” into the performance of the fund.

Anemoy’s Liquid Treasury Fund was recently assigned by Moody’s the highest ever tokenized Treasury rating: Aa-bf, the second highest rating on its scale. The rating agency defines the assets of the graded bond funds as “judged to be of high credit quality.”

“That was a positive surprise and a good coincidence: we actually didn’t know that the structure we have chosen (for LTF) is exactly what BlackRock would use as its BUIDL token two months later,” Quensel told. Run on the Anemoy subsidiary platform Tabula, the fund exposes short-term US Treasury notes.

Named after the little Greek gods of wind (spelled Anemoi), Anemoy facilitates the whole lifetime of onchain asset management, including origination, tokenization, securitization, management, and distribution.

Following trials with real-world assets from competing money managers like BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, and WisdomTree, its tie-up with Janus marks the first step into the crypto sector for the financial powerhouse from the United Kingdom.

Anemoy’s Liquid Treasury Fund was recently added to Archax, a U.K.-based asset broker and custodian’s main digital securities exchange system.
