Binance, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced that it will delist six altcoins on August 19, 2024. The affected cryptocurrencies include PowerPool (CVP), Ellipsis (EPX), ForTube (FOR), Loom Network (LOOM), Reef (REEF), and VGX Token (VGX).
Binance regularly reviews its listed cryptocurrencies against a set of criteria to ensure they meet the exchange’s high standards. Factors considered include project team commitment, development progress, trading volume and liquidity, network security, and stability. Additionally, the exchange evaluates project teams’ responses to due diligence inquiries, as well as any unethical or fraudulent behavior.
Users holding CVP, EPX, FOR, LOOM, REEF, and VGX will have until August 26, 2024, at 06:00 AM (TSI) to complete all spot trading activities involving these assets. After this deadline, these cryptocurrencies will be delisted from the Binance platform.
Binance has stated that this decision is aimed at protecting users and maintaining the high quality of assets listed on its platform. The exchange believes that the delisted altcoins no longer meet its stringent listing requirements.
Users holding any of the affected altcoins are advised to take necessary actions before the delisting deadline to avoid potential losses. This may include selling the assets, transferring them to another exchange, or withdrawing them to a personal wallet.
