USDC Support Deadline is April 5
Binance, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, announced that it will cease the deposit and withdrawal transactions of USDC, a digital stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, on the Tron blockchain on April 5, 2024.
In a post shared by the crypto exchange, it explained that USDC tokens deposited with the TRC20 network will not be transferred to users’ accounts as of 02:00 UTC on the aforementioned date.
As this change will only occur on the Tron blockchain, users will be able to continue depositing and withdrawing USDC via other blockchains like Ethereum.
This decision by Binance comes about a month after Circle, the company of the stablecoin USDC, announced it was ending its USDC minting services on Tron.
