Two well-known analysts in the cryptocurrency market seem to have entered a serious debate over Bitcoin.
Peter Schiff vs. Peter Brandt: The Bitcoin Debate
Peter Schiff and Peter Brandt, two analysts who often share analysis about the cryptocurrency market, got into a serious debate.
The debate started after gold enthusiast analyst Peter Schiff made a comment about the performance of some assets recently. Referring to a tweet he had previously posted, Schiff mentioned that the price of silver has increased by 21% since the beginning of April. He added that the increase in value in Bitcoin during the same period was only 2%.
Schiff claimed that people could earn 10 times more with silver than with Bitcoin. He argued that Bitcoin is dead.
In response, Peter Brandt, a trader for about 50 years, stepped in. Brandt, who is also known for his pro-Bitcoin statements, told his followers in his statement that they should completely ignore tweets like Schiff’s.
In addition, he argued that Schiff was saying such “nonsense” to gain followers and attention. However, he said that Schiff “is not as stupid as what he says.” The analyst added that despite Schiff’s correct prediction about silver, which was one of his many predictions, his predictions have generally been wrong so far.
