The WAP token appears to be inspired by Cardi B’s song of the same name, and its launch coincided with the launch of an official website and username X.
The situation gained attention after Iggy Azalea, who recently launched her own token called MOTHER, claimed that WAP was a scam. Despite the usual swift response to celebrity account hacks, the WAP token launch post remained on Cardi B’s account for several hours, with an unrelated post featuring her image following the token’s launch.

As of now, the market value of the WAP token is reported as $21.6 million, according to Dexscreener. However, investors are advised to approach the token with caution given its security concerns.
