CZ addressed the media reports today regarding claims that the Trump family held talks to make a deal with Binance.
What Did CZ Say About the Trump Family and Binance Allegations?
Moments ago, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) addressed the recent allegations regarding his relationship with the U.S. government. CZ firmly denied the media reports, stating that he has not engaged in any discussions with any U.S. officials or representatives. His statement comes at a time when speculation about Binance’s status and its ties with the U.S. is increasing, sparking curiosity in the market.
Here’s Changpeng Zhao’s (CZ) statement on X:
“Sorry to disappoint, but the WSJ article got the facts wrong.
More than 20 people told me they were asked by WSJ (and another media outlet), ‘Can you confirm that CZ made some deal for a pardon?’
They probably asked hundreds of people just to have 20 people reach out to me. In essence, they tried hard to create a story to report.
Fact: I have had no discussions of a Binance US deal with … well, anyone.
No felon would mind a pardon, especially being the only one in U.S. history sentenced to prison for a single BSA charge.
This article seems to be motivated as an attack on the President and crypto, with the remnants of the previous administration’s ‘war on crypto’ still in play.
I am always happy to make crypto great everywhere, in the U.S. and the rest of the world.
It’s good to see that even WSJ thinks I should be pardoned!”
CZ’s statements clearly refute the allegations of a deal between Binance and the Trump family, while also questioning the media’s influence on the crypto industry.
