Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao will begin advising the Kyrgyz Republic after signing a memorandum of understanding with the country’s foreign investment agency, focusing on blockchain and crypto-related regulations and technologies.
On April 3, CZ stated, “I officially and unofficially advise several governments on their crypto regulatory frameworks and blockchain solutions for government efficiency. I find this work extremely meaningful.”

Kyrgyzstan’s President Sadyr Zhaparov announced that the National Investment Agency (NIA) of Kyrgyzstan has signed an agreement with CZ to provide technical consultancy and advisory services. This collaboration aims to strengthen the country’s technological infrastructure, implement innovative solutions, and train highly qualified specialists in blockchain technologies and cybersecurity.
CZ: Kyrgyzstan Ideal for Crypto Mining
Kyrgyzstan, rich in renewable energy resources, offers an ideal environment for crypto mining. About 30% of the country’s energy supply comes from hydroelectric plants, but only 10% of its hydroelectric potential has been utilized.
CZ has also had discussions with government officials in other Asian countries, notably meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in January.
