dYdX Chain, a decentralized crypto exchange platform designed for dYdX, experienced an outage for over nine hours earlier this week.
dYdX Chain paused block production on Tuesday due to a software bug encountered during an update for v4. During this time, trading on the dYdX exchange continued as normal.
The issue was found to be caused by an incorrect version of the Cosmos IAVL library used by dYdX’s software.
The technical issue on the blockchain did not initially have a negative impact on the dYdX price, and the coin price continued to rise. However, according to TradingView data, dYdX later fell, losing more than 3% of its value daily.
According to the status page, dYdX Chain is still experiencing performance issues due to some nodes crashing.
