EigenLayer announced its new launch. In this launch, they claim that they are heading towards trust and success. They stated that their focal point is a flawless launch that prioritizes security and performance. EigenLayer said to the community:
“To reach this goal, we will adopt a gradual approach that will start now and continue over the next few weeks. This process aims to provide a smooth transition to the developing EigenLayer mainnet.”

Reasons for Gradual EigenLayer Mainnet Deployment
This incoming mainnet deployment focuses on security and performance. Using this existing step-by-step deployment minimizes the potential risks associated with a full-scale launch, enabling us to minimize the risk.
- Optimizing Performance: The phased approach allows us to measure and optimize network performance. This provides a stable and scalable network as more users and operators join the ecosystem.
We are pleased to present a summary of the exciting stages for the launch of the EigenLayer mainnet. More updates regarding the timing of each stage are expected.
- Test Network: Before transitioning to the mainnet, we are using a test network to test all changes. Following successful tests in the second phase test network on Goerli, we are moving the EigenLayer test network to Holesky.
- Web Application and Contract Suspension: Web application and contracts on the mainnet will initially be suspended, which will ensure controlled deployment and facilitate operators joining the network.
- Gradual Operator Registration: Operators will gradually register with the network, which will enable performance tests and controlled capacity increase.
- EigenDA Launch: Hyper-scale data availability will be provided with the launch of EigenDA, the first AVS launched on its infrastructure.
- Completion of Mainnet Launch: The EigenLayer web application will be updated, and deposit and withdrawal functions will be re-enabled.
- Emergence of the AVS Ecosystem: After the release of EigenDA, a live AVS ecosystem will develop on the EigenLayer mainnet.
EigenLayer sees these developments as an important step for the ecosystem. The upcoming Stage 2, focusing on operators and EigenDA, lays the foundation for expanded participation in the future.
