Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has addressed three criticisms regarding Ethereum in a recent blog post.
Buterin discussed the issues of MEV, liquid staking, and node costs on Ethereum.
“These are also things that I personally worry about from time to time,” Buterin said, adding that he believes these problems can be solved.
To address the MEV issue, Buterin proposes quarantining MEV (eliminating developers’ ability to extract transactions within a block).
Running a single node on the Ethereum network comes with a high hardware cost. Additionally, a person needs to stake at least 32 Ethereum.
Vitalik Buterin wrote that this cost can be reduced and Ethereum can become an exemplary project for the industry with decentralized staking pools.
