Cryptocurrency exchange OKX has identified and warned users about counterfeit OKX Wallet browser extensions published in the Firefox extension store. These extensions were reportedly being used to steal sensitive information and drain cryptocurrency wallets.
Warning from OKX: No Official Extension Released for Firefox
OKX emphasized that they have not released any official extension for Firefox and urged users to download software only through official channels. Users who may have inadvertently installed the fake extension were advised to immediately transfer their wallet assets to a different account.
OKX has contacted Firefox requesting the removal of these applications and invited users to exercise caution regarding third-party software.
