Bithumb, the second-largest cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea, has announced the listing of a new altcoin.
The listing news comes as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) trading volumes lag behind altcoins in South Korea. According to an announcement on Bithumb’s official website on June 12, ICP deposit transactions have already begun and listing will take place today at 12:00 TSİ.
The exchange stated in its announcement that ICP deposit transactions will only be open for the Internet Computer network. Bithumb also warned that transfers from other networks should not be made.
It was stated that ICP will be traded in South Korean Won (KRW) parity and after this listing, investors will be able to trade on the ICP/KRW trading pair.
According to CoinGecko data, ICP increased by 9.5% to $10.8 from $9.85 with the listing announcement from Bithumb. ICP is currently trading at $10.36, parallel to a slight correction at the time of writing.
