The decentralized wallet service Mixin Network suffers from a hack attack worth 200 million dollars.
According to the announcement made in the morning, Mixin Network’s cloud service provider’s database was attacked, resulting in a million dollars hack against Mixin Network. Therefore, withdrawal and deposit operations were suspended. After this hacking attempt, Mixin token XIN fell by 9%.

The company contacted Google and blockchain security companies for this hacking attack and asked for help. According to initial determinations, the affected funds are approximately worth 200 million dollars. The company suspended operations to review all transactions in the network and to resolve vulnerabilities.
Mixin Network founder Feng Xiaodong will hold a press conference today. He will make a public statement about the hacking incident at this meeting, and the Mixin team will make a statement as soon as possible about how the funds will be recovered.
Mixin founder Feng Xiaodong, said “After the discussion and agreement between all nodes, these services will be reopened when the vulnerabilities are confirmed and fixed. Transfers will not be affected during this process.”
The Mixin Network team said that currently, half of the assets could be safe. We are continuing our efforts to keep all funds safe, they said.
