OKX and Axelar have launched new technology development stacks designed to simplify and enhance the experience for crypto developers, while also improving cross-chain and off-chain integrations.
OKX Continues to Invest in Technology
OKX has introduced OKX OS, an open-source suite of tools, software development kits (SDKs), and APIs that developers can use to build applications on over 100 blockchains, including Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana. The stack leverages the same technology behind the OKX Wallet and aims to streamline the development process by allowing developers to easily scale their applications across multiple chains.
Meanwhile, Axelar has launched the Mobius Development Stack (MDS), which focuses on enabling permissionless cross-chain connections. Integrated with OpenZeppelin libraries, the stack is built to facilitate seamless interoperability between various Layer 1 (L1) blockchains, such as Solana, Stellar, and XRP Ledger, without the need for traditional bridges. Axelar’s stack also offers the Interchain Amplifier, which is secured by staked AXL tokens, and provides tools like the Interchain Token Service (ITS) to create cross-chain tokens and tokenize real-world assets.
Both platforms aim to reduce the complexity of developing decentralized applications (dApps) and improve interoperability between blockchain ecosystems. OKX’s offering is developer-friendly by supporting over 100 chains, while Axelar’s stack emphasizes cross-chain communication without bridges, improving both scalability and functionality across chains. Additionally, Axelar’s MDS facilitates off-chain integrations, such as AI coprocessors or zero-knowledge (zk) proofs, to support innovative use cases.

These launches reflect a broader Web3 trend to improve the onboarding experience for developers and users by building comprehensive infrastructure solutions. For example, W3.io is working on Orchestration Cloud, which acts as an advanced oracle to support complex tasks like coordinating multiple services across blockchains, minting NFTs, managing achievements in games, and integrating off-chain resources.
Together, these developments are creating a more holistic and interconnected ecosystem where developers can build interoperable, scalable, and more accessible decentralized applications.
