Starting with individuals registered in the Plus and Team levels, artificial intelligence company OpenAI has started distributing its much awaited “Advanced Voice” feature to particular ChatGPT subscribers. Announced on Sept. 24 on a post on X, the deployment will last over the week and enable more lively and human-like interactions with the artificial intelligence.
Originally postponed earlier this year, the new voice feature consists of five additional voices: Arbor, Maple, SXol, Spruce, and Vale among the current Breeze, Juniper, Cove, and Ember choices. Apart from enhanced voice choices, the new function supports over 50 languages; OpenAI notes in a funny homage to its delayed release that it can now say, “sorry I’m late,” in these languages.
