OpenSea, a NFT platform, is facing new allegations relating to the withdrawal of funds from the controversial AnubisDAO project in the past. According to allegations circulating on social media, former OpenSea employee Kevin Pawlak (0xSisyphus) has a connection to this incident.
The former employee, better known under the pseudonym “0xSisyphus“, played a key role in introducing the AnubisDAO project to investors. Furthermore, there is an possibility that he had joined in various suspicious business transactions. However, according to a statement made by OpenSea, the company was unaware of the former employee’s involvement in such activities.
A spokesperson for OpenSea stated, “Kevin is a former employee who left the company in June 2023. He had a limited capacity at OpenSea, where he worked in a non-managerial position. We have no knowledge of his involvement in the said projects.”

The AnubisDAO scandal emerged after approximately 13,556 Ether was collected in October 2021 and the funds were transferred to various wallets within about 20 hours. This incident made a big splash in the crypto world and resulted in investors suffering millions of dollars in losses.
During the AnubisDAO scandal, two fake users, “Beerus” and “Ersan”, were most likely responsible for the loss of funds. These mysterious users further complicated the event, leaving a trail of unanswered questions.
While OpenSea maintains that there is currently no evidence relating to the former employee’s alleged role, the crypto community is waiting for more information to clear up the fog surrounding the AnubisDAO scandal.
