The total value of real world assets (RWA) has reached an all-time high as Bitcoin fell below $100,000. RWA tokenization refers to the creation of financial and other tangible assets on the blockchain. This allows investors greater access and trading opportunities.
RWA Market Reaches $17.1 Billion
According to RWA.xyz data, the total value of on-chain RWAs has reached $17.1 billion, distributed among more than 82,000 investors. This evaluation excludes the value of stablecoins.
Tokenized private credit is the largest on-chain asset class, valued at $11.9 billion, accounting for 69% of the RWA industry. The value of tokenized U.S. Treasury bonds was calculated at $3.5 billion.
Over the past 30 days, the RWA market has increased by more than 10%, while Bitcoin‘s price has dropped by 1.6%, reaching $98,124.
Bitcoin and the RWA Market Can Complement Each Other
Redstone co-founder and COO Marcin Kazmierczak stated that while RWAs provide stability through the tokenization of traditional assets, Bitcoin‘s unmatched network security remains the cornerstone of the digital finance ecosystem. Kazmierczak said, “This is not a zero-sum game – the RWA sector, which grew by 300% in 2024, should be seen as complementary rather than competitive with Bitcoin.”

Large financial institutions are expected to drive the growth of the RWA sector in the coming years. Edwin Mata, CEO of the European RWA tokenization platform Brickken, said, “With growing institutional interest and clear regulatory progress, tokenization could become a cornerstone of the modern financial system and one of the leading narratives for blockchain.”
Brickken raised $2.5 million to expand its platform, which has tokenized more than $250 million worth of assets in two years.
RWA Sector Could Reach $30 Trillion by 2030
According to estimates from major financial institutions and business consulting firms, the RWA sector could grow 50-fold by 2030, reaching a market size of between $4 trillion and $30 trillion. These projections suggest that RWAs will become increasingly integrated into the financial system.
