We, crypto investors, have set our sights on the Ethereum ETF approval after the approval of the spot Bitcoin ETF. Hester Peirce, a member of the SEC, is known for her long-standing criticism of SEC Chairman Gensler. This time, she criticized past practices without naming names.

Hester Peirce, a member of the SEC, said in a broadcast she attended:

“We will no longer do the approval processes the way we did before. We should have the same thought and logic when we give the approvals we give to similar products for other products. As I said in the past, our mindset here should be logical. There should not be a court ruling saying ‘They are acting capriciously and arbitrarily’ to us. We will not make the same mistakes.”

Hester Peirce is known for her support for the cryptocurrency world among the commissioners. She also criticizes Gary Gensler harshly. The commissioner was one of the members who voted “approve” in the latest Bitcoin spot ETF decision process.

It is expected that the decisions on spot Ethereum ETFs will come in May and June. The first decision in this process will be for VanEck’s spot Ethereum request on May 23rd. On May 24th, a decision must be made for ARK Invest’s request. The decision on BlackRock’s spot Ethereum ETF request is expected to be in July.
