Justin Sun promised to initiate a ‘legendary airdrop’ of free tokens following attacks on Poloniex and HTX users. Both Poloniex and HTX recently suffered separate attacks, resulting in a total loss of $238 million.
Details: Sun reached out to affected users via a Twitter post. He stated that they would initiate a legendary airdrop for HTX and Poloniex users as an apology and to assure them of the safety of their assets.
In his statement, Sun said, “As we get closer to reopening HTX and Poloniex for deposits and withdrawals, we will initiate a legendary airdrop for users who have assets. I offer my deepest apologies to the users affected by the hacker attacks on HTX and Poloniex. We will cover the loss and all assets are safe.”
Important Notes: Justin Sun assured that Poloniex would fully repay funds affected by the attack within an hour. It was also stated that the losses could be covered with Poloniex‘s operating revenues. Sun also offered a 5% white hat reward to the Poloniex attacker, giving law enforcement a week to consider the offer.
These steps are drawing attention as significant steps taken to ensure the security of users and recover their losses. These developments are seen as efforts to alleviate concerns within the cryptocurrency community.
