Trump’s $844,600 Bitcoin Conference Roundtable

Donald Trump Crypto Bitcoin

Based on an unidentified attendee’s emailed invitation, Bloomberg claims that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is requesting attendees of a forthcoming Bitcoin conference pay $844,600 to participate in a roundtable.

The invitation seems to be part of a private fundraising initiative for the Bitcoin 2024 conference scheduled in Nashville, Tennessee, from July 25–27, in which Trump will be a speaker.

Apart from the almost a million-dollar roundtable fee, people can spend $60,000, and couples can pay $100,000 for a photo session. Bloomberg notes that Trump’s vice presidential picks, Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio; Sen. Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn.; former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy; and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, will also be present at the fundraiser event. The gathering will only draw up up to 150 donors; after that, guests get a front-row view of Trump’s Bitcoin address at the conference.

In the first half of 2024, Trump seemed to adopt a more upbeat view of cryptocurrencies. He said in mid-July that the US has to lead in the bitcoin sector, outpacing China. Vance is also pro-crypt; the Ohio senator wants to change the Financial Innovation and Technology for the 21st Century Act (FIT21) to better benefit the crypto sector. Vance reportedly had more than $100,000 worth of bitcoin.
