The accounts of Lara Trump’s and Tiffany Trump’s on X seemed to have been hacked earlier today, publishing about a token supposedly linked with World Liberty Financial. X has closed down their accounts after the posts were removed.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s crypto project World Liberty Financial cautioned on X and on the project’s Telegram channel that the team is “working to fix this,” following compromises in X accounts of Lara, Eric Trump’s wife, and Tiffany, Donald Trump’s daughter.
The accounts touted an address along with a token claiming to be part of World Liberty Financial in the X postings that looked to have been placed by hackers and have since been taken down.
Eric Trump, co-creator of World Liberty Financial, claimed in an X post, “Twitter was amazing and has locked down Lara Trump and Tiffany Trump accounts within minutes.”
“Lara’s and Tiffany Trump’s X accounts have been hacked. Do not click on any links or purchase any tokens shared from their profiles. We’re actively working to fix this, but please stay vigilant and avoid scams!” World Liberty Financial said in its Telegram channel.
With newly disclosed additional information earlier today in a CoinDesk article, former U.S. President Trump and his sons had been teasing the crypto project for weeks. Said to be developed on the Ethereum blockchain and distributed finance platform Aave, the project will revolve around a “credit account system.”
