Radicle token is a piece of the Radicle Network. The network is a decentralized area, that develops for computer engineers, working peer-to-peer (P2P), and it is providing an opportunity for collaboration.
The network is working with DAG (Directed Acyclic Graphic). In addition, it uses Ethereum Virtual Machine, at the same time, it is built on the Ethereum Network. Radicle was started developing in 2018 by Alexis Sellier and Eleftherios Diakomichalis. The project’s native token is named RAD Token. The token has ERC-20 standards.

How Does Radicle Work?
The protocol focused on script storage, copying, and verifying. Radicle is presenting a warranty for access to script copies, doesn’t matter how much copy count the network has them. At the center of the protocol, there are available nodes which define by mutual keys and direction tables that increase pool counts. Radicle’s main purpose and mission is to provide data flow on the blockchain network.
Radicle’s Communication Technology and Script Storage
In the early phases, Radicle is built using IPFS (Interplanetary File System). After this, the team changed it. They started using Git instead of IPFS. According to their thoughts, IPFS is not enough for the project mission. Right now Radicle is using Git as a database. The database is kept on Git with public key encrypting (PKC).
What Is Radicle Link?
Radicle Link is a tool that developers can keep and share their own data on their own devices. In this case, co-workers or other team members can communicate and send/receive data using blockchain technology. Additionally, they can change the information using PKC. That’s why every Radicle Link user must use a Git-based script pool. The protocol can occur backups for users. After that, the users can share information and data from these pools using the P2P method.
Radicle CLI
Radicle CLI is a command line interface that is created for the protocol. The interface is providing an opportunity for controlling and managing identical credentials that belong to users. They can copy other scripts or projects and send them as their own. Simultaneously, they can manage the network’s node thanks to CLI.
Radicle Tokenomics
Currently, the Radicle Token price is $1.55. The coin has a market cap of $77,575,995. The total and maximum supply is 99,998,580 RAD. The circulating supply is 49,829,111 RAD. That means almost %50 of the total supply. Distribution is like that:
- %50 of RAD tokens go to the community treasury
- %19 is allocated to the team
- %20 is allocated to early supporters
- %11 is allocated to the Radicle Foundation, as well as to network promotion and a proposed RAD bootstrapping liquidity pool
